Research Paper on Things Fall Apart

posted Jan 8, 2016, 11:45 AM by Anastasia Caputo

Right now you should be picking your topics, formulating your question, and attempting to answer it.  Start trying to find your 3 online articles from valid websites.  These articles are due in class on 1/15.  Rough drafts are due on 1/21.  Final copies are due 1/25.  No late papers will be accepted.  All papers must be typed and conform to MLA style guide.  See me for extra help with any questions.  Check out the Writer's Guide on the MHS website to help with your paper as you go.

Review Sheet for The Big Term Test

posted Nov 28, 2015, 1:36 PM by Anastasia Caputo   [ updated Nov 28, 2015, 1:40 PM ]

Attached is the Review Sheet for the test.  Remember that if you do note cards I will give you extra points. Because there are so many words, let's make it 10.
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

By the way: Not sure why it skips #1...all the words are there though.  Also, I started alphabetizing and then gave up and just tried to keep words together by letter when and where I could. I realize they are out of order.  Sorry about that.  I wanted to get it out ASAP.

Just write a one page response like you do for the poetry prompt.  It doesn't have to be in essay form. Thanks.

9/11 Museum Info

posted Oct 1, 2015, 5:35 PM by Anastasia Caputo

Photography is permitted for private, non-commercial use only and is permitted in all locations unless otherwise posted.
• Please limit the items that you bring with you. Large baggage, including backpacks, large umbrellas and other items deemed too large or a danger to exhibits are subject to mandatory storage in the coat room.
• Use of cell phones for talking is prohibited in exhibition spaces and theatre.
• Mobile devices, including cell phones, used to play audio tours must be connected to a headset.
• Restrooms are available in the Museum for ticketed guests.

This was on the website.  I don' t believe that there is a fee for the coat room.

Here is the app if you want to listen to the tour:

The 9/11 Museum Audio Guide App provides themed audio tours featuring stories from the day of 9/11 and the recovery at Ground Zero. It also presents details of the Museum’s archaeological elements and architectural designs of the Memorial and the Museum.

Witnessing History Tour: Narrated by Robert De Niro, this tour provides an overview of 9/11 and its aftermath. You’ll hear about the experiences of first responders, recovery workers, family members of those killed on 9/11, journalists, and others with stories to share.
